British architectural artist Stephen Wiltshire arrived in Mexico City to host his exhibition at the BBVA Bancomer Tower located on Reforma Avenue.
Wiltshire is well known for his ability to draw from memory a landscape after seeing it just once. He was diagnosed as autistic at the age of three.
“In just three hours, he drew the first section of Chapultepec Park, with castles and trees, he also sketched various buildings of Polanco and Circuito Interior, including the well-known traffic jams," said Bancomer's staff.
Wiltshire frequently draws entire cities from memory, based on single, brief helicopter rides.
He made a detailed drawing of four square miles of London after a single helicopter ride above that city. His nineteen-foot-long drawing of 305 square miles of New York City is based on a single twenty-minute helicopter ride.
