Guerrero's Ministry of Civil Defense has reported that a local storm in the Coahuayutla de José María Izazaga municipality has heavily damaged over 40 homes in the area.
In a press statement, the ministry reported that the meteorological phenomenon occurred on October 14 in the municipality, where the homes' roofs were torn off by the strong winds; however, no human casualties have been reported to date.
State officials report that it has dispatched personnel to the area and is coordinating efforts with municipal officials to assess the type and amount of aid required by each of the families affected by the storm.
