UN High Commissioner meets with parents of 43 missing students of Ayotzinapa

Jan Jarab, Mexico representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, arrives at closed-door meeting with parents of the 45 missing students at the Raúl Isidro Burgo rural school.

Jan Jarab will listen to family members of the victims share their version of how the investigation on what happened in Iguala has moved forward.

According to the Mexican Attorney General's ongoing investigation and statements made by some of the victims, the remains of the missing students were burned at the Cocula landfill.

However, parents of the missing students say this theory has yet to be proven, and the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (GIEI) has even gone on to say that the missing students could not have been burned at the landfill.

Jan Jarab is expected to give a press release after concluding his meeting with the family members of the missing students.

Also in attendance are Mario Patrón and Vidulfo Rosales, members of the Center for Human Rights PRODH, and political spokesmen Felipe de la Cruz and Melitón Ortgea.
