A total of 16 people , all of them males, were killed in a new wave of violence registered in Tepuche , north of Sinaloa state. Seven victims, all of them with chests and uniforms, were found in a Toyota pick up truck in an unpaved road between Caminiaguato and Ojo de Agua .
The nine other victims were located in several points of the Bagrecitos community; only two of them could not be identified as locals. One of them was wearing a pixel uniform and another had black clothing.

added that on Wednesday morning, at the Caminoaguato road, officers of one of the Mixed Operations Base located in Tepuche were attacked by gunmen transported in three vehicles.
Military officers of the Civil Guard and the Preventive State Police repelled the attack and the criminals fled through country roads where a Hilux Toyota pick up truck was found three kilometers away with seven bodies of men with tactical equipment and a visible firearm.

In the afternoon, it was reported that a convoy with armed men entered the Bagrecitos community and began a new dispute that left nine people dead ; seven of them were identified as locals , so the State Attorney General’s Office must determine whether they are collateral victims.
Castañeda Amarillo said that although Tepuche , Culiacán has five Mixed Operations Bases with 300 officers, due to the geographical and communications conditions , it is hard to look for the criminals.
He added that the Sinaloa government requested help from the National Guard and the National Defense Ministry as well as rotary wing aircraft to have a higher response capacity in the area undertaken by a violent clash between two organized crime groups .

Castañeda Amarillo added that since May 28 , 40 long arms, including five Minimi machine guns , two Barret-50 , four grenade launchers add-ons, 10 grenades , and 35,612 shells of different calibers have been seized at Tepuche.
He said that during that time, there have been nine violent confrontations in which a total of 24 vehicles , two of them armored, were seized and that were left behind along with firearms by criminals once the federal and state security forces were nearby.
