Emma Coronel visits "El Chapo" in secret

Emma Coronel, the wife of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, reportedly visited him in prison in Ciudad Juárez, according to the Univision network.

The visit was conducted in secret, according to the network, because the former beauty queen believes that her life could be in danger because the city is under the control of a rival cartel.

The visit in the Cefereso 9 prison was planned to be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, but if ended up being just a 45 minutes meet.

Coronel traveled to Ciudad Juárez on a commercial flight from Mexico City.

"El Chapo" was transferred to this border town last April 7 from the high-security prison of El Altiplano, allegedly due to security works in that prison.
