Popocatépetl volcano registers 15 explosions

According to the report by the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 26 low-intensity exhalations and 15 explosions in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, the monitoring system allowed to observe emissions of steam and gas heading to the northeast.

Slight incandescence was observed yesterday night, increasing when main exhalations.

This morning, a faint emission of steam and gas that heading to the southeast was observed.
