Locations where the women in the study were infected include Barbados, Belize, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Republic of Marshall Islands and Venezuela
Scientists from Spain, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Portugal are participating in the research project
To date the vaccine has been approved in Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Guatemala, Peru, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.
The vaccine is currently registered in Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador, the Philippines and Paraguay, and Sanofi has is seeking regulatory approval in many more countries.
