The clients of the convenience store chain Oxxo will be able to receive remittances worth up to 11,600 pesos (US$603) per transaction.
"The remittances are the property of the people that make them, and they have every right to be able to carry out international transfers." Mexican Central Bank Governor said.
For families across Mexico, the transfers help put food on the table and clothe children.
President Barack Obama is responding to questions about Donald Trump's proposal to cut off billions of dollars in remittances sent by Mexican immigrants living in the U.S.
The idea is to make Mexicans pay for security in the southern border.
Remittances were up 4.75 percent from 2014 when they totaled US$23.6 billion. They had never before surpassed petroleum since the Bank of Mexico began tracking them in 1995.
In the first half of 2015 remittances to Mexico totaled 12.08 billion dollars, 3.98% more than in the same period last year.
