Tropical Storm “Nate” is heading to Mexico and the U.S.

Destroyed bridges, landslides, overflowing rivers, and floods: Tropical Storm Nate is heading along the Caribbean coast of Honduras to Mexico and the United States .

, Nicaragua and Honduras are the most affected countries by the Tropical Storm.

So far, the storm has left eleven people dead in Nicaragua, eight in Costa Rica and three in Honduras , in addition to several people missing .

In the meantime, communities in Central America continue to be isolated by the destruction of bridges, flooding of roads, overflowing rivers, and landslides.

The storm is located about 165 miles ( 260 km ) north-northeast of Isla Guanaja , Honduras with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour ( 85 km/h ), the Miami-based U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

Nate will move into the southern Gulf of Mexico Friday night and move near or over the northern Gulf coast Saturday night or Sunday, the NHC said adding Nate is expected to become a hurricane by the time it reaches the northern Gulf of Mexico.

The NHC issued an advisory in which warns of Its possible hurricane intensity after passing near or over the Yucatan peninsula .
