Students
from a high school located in a rural community in the state of Querétaro donated a percentage of their government-funded scholarship to build a new school since they are forced to share the classrooms with junior high school students .
In a video shared through social media , a student and a teacher revealed the news.
In the video , the teacher explains “the students received their Benito Juárez universal scholarship and decided to donate MXN $200 to purchase one thousand bricks .” Moreover, the parents will be in charge of building the new school .
The teacher also asked federal officials to join their efforts and donate resources to build the school .
“We serve one of the most poverty and violence stricken communities , Santa Rosa Jáuregui, Querétaro . We challenge out deputies and senators to donate MXN $1 for every MXN $1 donated by the students .”
