Sports journalist murdered in Mexico

's General Attorney's Office is investigating the murder of sports journalist Omar Ivan Camacho , whose body was found in the Salvador Alvarado municipality , in the northern state.

The journalist went missing on Sunday morning, after covering a sports event and his family started searching for him soon after.

The journalist was tortured and his body was found under a bridge in the Benito Juárez highway .

Unfortunately, several other journalists have been murdered in 2019 alone, and dozens of them have been murdered in Mexico in the last decade.

Meanwhile, president López Obrador was vowed to protect journalists by improving Mexico's protection system , which has been inefficient .
