Australian singer Sia allowed the use and commercialization of her songs to Rebeca Godoy , a Mexican with terminal breast cancer after she published a bucket list she wishes to fulfill before passing away.

Godoy published a video in which she explained what she wanted to do to spend her last days after three years fighting cancer .

Amid tears, jokes, and laughs, the woman from Sinaloa said that her wishes included: to illustrate a book, to have a Britney Spears-style photoshoot , to marry in a church , and spend the last of her days with her family .

“I want to record a song by Sia , who is my favorite artist ; it will be a piano and solo song. My intention is to ask Sia for permission; you have to help me. I want to ask her to let me upload it to a YouTube account so that it gets monetized and the profits are donated to cancer research ,” said Rebeca in her video.
Through her social networks, Godoy, who is 35 years old , shared her reaction upon knowing the positive answer Sia had when she knew about the situation where she is moved to tears .
“I have no words; thank you forever, Sia and David . Wait for the cover! Thanks to everyone who helped us,” Godoy wrote.
The Australian singer is recognized for hiding behind a blond wig as a declaration of not being interest in fame .
As a matter of fact, she only became known by herself after years of writing songs for internationally famous artists like Rihanna , Britney Spears , and Beyoncé .
Likewise, she was been recognized for her support to vulnerable groups such as the LGBT community or the tribute she made for the victims of a shooting at a gay club in Orlando, the U.S. in 2016 with the song “The Greatest.”
