Apparently, fashion designers take inspiration from all sorts of unexpected places, including the kitchen or whatever can be found inside a refrigerator. Such is the case of the new avocado toast-themed sneakers . That’s right: Avocado!
The American shoes manufacturer Saucony took inspiration from the Super Bowl ’s most popular snack to design its new model. These shoes, which are likely to become extremely popular in the next few months, are made from suede and leather, the latter of which was the fabric chosen to imitate the consistency of guacamole. In addition to the green hue that covers most of the shoe, the company inserted a brown stripe above the sole to represent the toast. Furthermore, the shoe model features a red interior reminiscent of hot pepper , giving it a Mexican flair.
The new “ Suacamole ” will go on sale on March 28 at the 99 problems boutique, North Satellite, and Two Feed Undr.
Food to wear
This is not the first time that designers take inspiration from food. On more than one occasion, we have seen designer clothes with food decorations in the runway.
Dolce and Gabbana
have used several fruits and vegetables such as carrots, onions, peas, and eggplants to decorate their clothing lines.
On the other hand, Miuccia Prada decided to use banana stamps on dresses, t-shirts, and chemises.
Jeremy Scott
did the same for the Moschino firm, paying tribute to candy and chocolate wrappers.
