Is the raffle to get rid of Mexico’s presidential plane ready?
There is no final decision in regards to the presidential airplane , which means the government doesn’t know it if will be sold , exchanged , or raffled . However, in case the raffle takes place, everything is ready. Nevertheless, we’ve been told that government officials are wondering who will be the lucky ones who sign the necessary documents to raffle the plane . We’ve been told that in order to carry out this complex operation , there are several officials who would have to sign the documents since this is an expensive asset owned by the Mexican government.
López Obrador snubs Morena
Today, Morena lawmakers will start their plenary session now that the lower chamber is going back to work on February 1. We’ve been told that members of the cabinet and government officials will attend the meeting, including Olga Sánchez Cordero , Alfonso Durazo , Arturo Herrera , Alejandro Díaz de León , Alejandro Gertz Manero . However, President López Obrador won’t attend the meeting this year.
Ramírez Cuéllar vs. Polevnsky
We’ve been told that the two Morena leaders , Yeidckol Polevnsky and Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar, will attend the plenary sessions in Congress , at least although there won’t be time to talk to the party leaders. Moreover, we’ve been told that with all the troubles inside the party, lawmakers no longer take Polevnsky and Cuéllar seriously.
Former police chief is mistaken with the drug trafficker
We’ve been told that last Friday , Manelich Castilla , the former leader of the Federal Police, had a really bad day. It turns out Manelich was mistaken with former agent Iván Reyes Arzate, who is in jail in the U.S. for his links to the Sinaloa Cartel . Last weekend, the U.S. Justice Department filed new charges against Reyes Arzate , who had already spent three years behind bars for sharing information with the Beltrán Leyva drug cartel . When the information was released, social media users shared pictures of Castilla, who they claimed was Reyes Arzate. After this, the former police chief said it was a mistake and said he would take legal action.
