The left took over the country through a democratic process almost six months ago but during this period, one of the critiques that have prevailed is that the government contributes to creating division among society , as well as scarce tolerance to accusations and different opinions .
The presidential speech usually separates society : on one side, there are the “ fifís ”, the conservatives and the opposition ; on the other side is the good people. It also rejects any expressions about government actions that affect those in need, such as the lack of medicines and materials in public hospitals after budget cuts to health services, and it also doesn't entirely accept the increasing crimes rates which have reached historical levels.
Before this scenario, writers, researchers, and historians called for tolerance in a forum titled “ Challenges for Freedom in the 21st Century ,” which took place in the University of Guadalajara.
Their assertions were timely. “They don't respond to arguments with arguments, but rather with disqualifications .” “Before this discourse , it is impossible to build a moderately rational deliberation space .” “Alternative truths are created.” “There is a disqualification of all the good things we Mexicans have done.” “An authentic dialogue, civility, respect , and the ability to listen should prevail.”
There is worry in these comments but also a genuine interest to build a healthy scenario to debate about national issues, where understanding and harmony prevail.
This administration, as very few in the past, showed a great disposition to listen, accept their mistakes , and rectify them. Reversing the unilateral announcement that bank commissions would be lowered and acknowledging the mistake that attacked university autonomy are a few examples that augured a new way of governing. That should be implemented again.
The government can't dilapidate the huge support it received from those Mexicans who totally agreed with its point of view , as well as a large part of society who voted for it without fully supporting its vision .

needs to come together and work to reach a more egalitarian development . Nevertheless, intolerance coming from officials can become an obstacle .
