Athletics pitcher Joakim Soria and former player of the Major Leagues Jaime García added great stats to their careers by committing to donate up to MXN $3.5 million for Mexico's coronavirus pandemic.
Through a video shared in social media, Soria talked about his and García’s solidarity during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’ll donate several aid boxes and personal protective equipment that will be given to doctors taking care of people with coronavirus,” he said.

oria explained that they will donate up to MXN $3.5 million in support of Monclova, his home city.
Soria thanked all the people working in hospitals during the current health emergency.

“I want to applaud the work of doctors , nurses , and all the personnel working in health institutions ; thanks for risking their lives for the health of others.”
The program will begin the next days with the delivery of food aid to vulnerable people, as well as vouchers that will be valid for paying for water service. They will also make a special donation for personal protective equipment such as suits , masks, and gloves to support medical personnel and other essential workers at the frontline of the contingency.
