Legislator, actor, and jet-setter
We're told that Morena's bench leaders in Congress are nervous because of how uncomfortable some of their legislators could turn out to be, especially for their project and ideals. We're told that's the case of Sergio Mayer , a legislator, and actor, who traveled to Washington, D.C . for a forum, just a few days after taking office. The anguish comes after Mr. Sergio has already mad some mistakes that have sparked off memes and jokes on social media. The most popular one was when he mistook the Profeco with the Profepa . Mr. Sergio attends an International Gala related to environmental matters, specialized in conservation and sustainable development. So if you see a lit candle in San Lázaro, it's for Morena's legislator, in hopes that he doesn't get involved in more polemics. We're told that Mr. Sergio's expenses are paid for by the event organizers, which goes really well with Morena's austerity policy, but the question raised by many is what will Mexicans get out of his trip? And if that activity is a priority for the deputy to be absent during the first days of the Legislature .
Grasshoppers and Tarzans at the PAN
If you thought once the elections were over, so was the “grasshopper” season, those who change from one political position to another, you're wrong. We're told that some grasshoppers approach the PAN every time there's an election coming and that they show up to be in the pictures. That's the case of Margarita Zavala 's former spokesperson, Jorge Camacho , who expressed his support towards the PRI candidate, José Antonio Meade , during the July 1st election , after the former first lady announced her decision to quit the presidential race. They explain that Camacho , the former candidate to Guerrero's government , is now part of Manuel Gómez Morín 's team, a contender to the PAN's national leadership . That's why some PAN members claim that since Mr. Jorge was part of the former presidential candidate's team, Josefina Vázquez Mota , he's like Tarzan , jumping from rope to rope.
Castañón is desperate to get political exemption
Those close to Noé Castañón , a Senate contender, who was accused of family violence, hasn't taken office as legislator. They claim he is analyzing two possibilities to be able to take office and, especially, enjoy political exemption. The first one, to pressure the President-elect, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, through social media, and even send people to his press conferences or public events, to request that the Senate's president , Martí Batres , take his oath as soon as possible. The second, pressure Dante Delgado , MC , to speak on his behalf so that when he enters the Senate, he will join MC 's bench, not the PRI 's, which would be beneficial for MC . The thing is, they point out, that Mr. Noé is desperate, and as you may know, he's going to look everywhere.
Internal Affairs, back to basics
This past weekend, the future Internal Affairs Minister, Olga Sánchez Cordero , and the Supreme Court Minister, Alberto Pérez Dayán, were with a group of University students in Monterrey , where they shared their experiences and their views on justice and of what the new Internal Affairs Ministry will be like. Olga repeated the old said that claims “Internal Affairs shouldn't be seen, just felt”, but with an adjustment that goes according to the Fourth Transformation , without having to operate as police officers. The retired Supreme Court Minister said that the Segob will go back to the basics during AMLO's administration : the design and execution of the internal policies, nothing more, and nothing else.
