HELLA
, the company of electronic and lighting products for automotive industries , has officially opened its new electronics plant in Apaseo el Grande, Guanajuato .
The new plant will specialize in the manufacture of body control and power-assisted steering units, as well as keyless entry remotes, among other products.

, CEO of HELLA , highlighted the company’s most recent investments in North-America . “In North, Central, and South America, we’re growing at a rate of over 15% annually , with more solidity than the market,” he stated.
“Our investment in this facility is focused on catering to regional clients’ needs, as well as further developing our position in the North-American market,” he commented at a press release.
The new plant covers an area of over 6.8 square miles and it will operate with a staff of 250 people in its first development phase.
At the end of last year, HELLA expanded its production capacity with two more illumination plants in Mexico: one in Irapuato , and another in El Salto, Jalisco .
In Irapuato, the expansion was carried for the series production of LED headlamp modules , whereas the illumination plant in El Salto, Jalisco was expanded to include the manufacturing of rear combination lights.
