At 10:00 am yesterday , the British rock band Gorillaz launched a teaser showing a group of mariachis performing one of their greatest hits “ On Melancholy Hill ”. Naturally, Mexican fans were exhilarated and curious on whether the band was soon to announce a concert in the country.
Fortunately, the wait is over for Gorillaz fans. At 9:32 am this morning, the band tweeted that they would end their world tour in Mexico, at Palacio de los Deportes (Sports Palace) in Mexico City on October 24 .
With a clip featuring their single “ Humility ,” the British band led by Damon Albarn revealed details on their presentation at the Sports Palace as part of their “ The Now Now ” tour.
Ticket presale will be held on August 29 and 30 ; general sales will begin on August 31 .
At the end of June, Gorillaz launched their new album called “The Now Now,” featuring 11 new songs produced by James Ford and Remi Kabaka .
The new material was launched under Parlophone Records and their first single is “Humility,” a song that features a new band member: Ace , leader of the “Ganggreen Gang” from the kids show The Powerpuff Girls .
