For five minutes, the second floor of a hotel in Mexico City was filled with people cheering for Eva Longoria and Ricky Martin , who led a charity gala yesterday.
One of the four co-stars from the famous TV show Desperate Housewives and the Latin singer known for songs such as “La Vida Loca” held a gala to support the Global Gift Foundation, a non-profit charity organization focused on creating a positive impact on the lives of children, women, and families .
In a press conference, Eva Longoria expressed her gratitude for the fourth event reception in Mexico, a country that she considers her second home.
She also spoke about her small baby Santiago , born out of her relationship with Televisa producer José Bastón . “My baby is very happy and very handsome,” she said, filled with excitement.
“I have been trying to get back on shape, but I think it would be too soon. I am enjoying this experience very much, Pepe is very kind to me and he has helped me a lot.”
For his part, Ricky gave a 10-minute conference alongside Eva , in which he shared his enthusiasm for the event’s success, adding that his homeland, Puerto Rico , was still in great need of help following the devastation caused by the hurricane María last year.
“We are doing whatever we can to rebuild my land. The world of philanthropy is growing but we are still struggling in Puerto Rico,” he expressed.
