This season, amid paper cempásuchil flowers, papel picado , and candles, overseas Embassies of Mexico celebrated the Day of the Death (Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico on November 1 and 2 ).
CANADA
In Canada, the Embassy of Mexico is holding an exhibition altar from November 1 to November 5 at the Ottawa Public Library.
The altar this year is dedicated to the victims of the Mexico earthquakes.
CHINA
On November 1, the Day of the Day Altar was inaugurated before diplomatic corps, scholars and the community and The Mexican Ambassador to China José Luis Bernal opened the exhibition “Las Calaveras de Posada.” The altar is dedicated to those affected by Mexico earthquakes.

ITALY
From November 1 to 5, the embassy will hold a celebration for the Day of the Dead to continue with the fundraising to support recovery and relief efforts for the devastating earthquakes in Mexico.
The event will feature the Mexican Folkloric Ballet “Los Rancheros” of Susana Moraleda and Mariachi Romatitlan.

In Japan, the Mexican embassy is having the 2nd edition of the Catrina Parade (2ndo Desfile de la Catrina) at Yoyogi Park where there will be a prayer for Mexico.
The José Guadalupe Posada Museum is supporting the Parade.

In the United States, the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington DC is holding a special event from October 28 to November 22 .
