In the face of the sanitary emergency sparked by , President López Obrador signed a decree that orders companies to allow the such as senior citizens , pregnant women , and people with chronic diseases to stay home from work while getting paid.

The decree was made official and will be implemented today.

The document was published in the Official Journal of the Federation and establishes that in order to prevent the spread of , the vulnerable sectors in the public and private sector, as well as in society, must not attend work, public places , and crowded places .

The decree emphasizes that people must stay home while getting paid until April 19.
