Will there be a military parade on September 16?
Sources say President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s cabinet is analyzing the possibility to carry out the ceremony and military parade to commemorate Independence Day on September 15 and 16. Insiders indicate that the parade will take place but in a different way because thousands of families come to Mexico City to watch the parade; last year, over 400,000 were present during the military parade. Is Ackerman the new PT leader?
The lower chamber will change its board in a month and a half and the PT is aiming to lead the chamber by becoming the third force and replacing the PRI. Now, PT members are boycotting Morena’s majority in San Lázaro. While Morena says that the process to appoint new INE counselors is transparent, the PT launched a campaign to denounce the process. However, it is interesting that the PT changes its mind when John Ackerman said there were irregularities in the process. None of the other six committee members an eight parliamentary coordinators agreed with Ackerman. Even Gerardo Fernández Noroña defended one of the candidates criticized by Ackerman. After the PT changed its position, it seems like they have a new leader outside the party.
