Lomelín denied that business leaders agreed to lower Afore rates , even when the President made the announcement on Friday. Sources said that while Carlos Salazar left the National Palace, after meeting with the President to work on the announcement of a plan to reactivate the economy, he said “the private sector never discussed commissions, we never presented that topic in the initiative;” nevertheless, Salazar Lomelín said his relationship with López Obrador is getting even better. Insiders said we’ll see if the relationship continues being positive after the business leader contradicted the President.
Napoleón Gómez has a new savings fund
Last week, the mineworkers union, led by senator Napoleón Gómez Urrutia , took everyone by surprise when it announced Oralia Casso Valdés, Gómez Urrutia’s wife, had been appointed as the substitute director at the Social Conflicts and Housing department under the National Executive Committee. After the announcement sparked outrage because she is not a mineworker, Oralia said the information was false and that the media attacker her, even when she made the announcement herself. Amid all this drama, very few noticed the union approved the creation of a savings fund so that Napoleón Gómez and his wife have access to private medical attention.
Governors will take legal action against the federal administration
Sources said the warning made by 10 Governors last week, which includes taking legal action against the federal government if it doesn’t allocate more resources for the 2021 Budget, was not a joke. Quarrel at the PRI
Sources said the PRI is having some trouble regarding the appointment of candidates for the 2021 election . Yesterday, the political party exposed three former lawmakers: Lourdes Quiñones, Willy Ochoa, and María de las Nieves García. The PRI accused them of reaching out to former colleagues to offer them candidacies to represent an alliance created by the PRI, PRD, and PAN. However, the PRI said these three party members don’t have the faculties to negotiate this and that they are trying to scam fellow party members in Chihuahua, Colima, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz, Chiapas, and Sonora. Furthermore, the PRI said it might kick them out of the party.
