As part of Marvel's comic “Champions,” penciller Humberto Ramos and writer Mark Waid included a character that homages the Mexican comedian superhero known as El Chapulín Colorado (The Red Grasshopper/Locust).
In “Champions” #9 , on sale last Wednesday in the United States , appears a young woman of Mexican ancestry named Fernanda Rodríguez , who works in San Diego, California , as the Red Locust superhero (an approximation to the Spanish name of Chapulín Colorado).
Although she does not have the signature tools of the original character, the female tribute of El Chapulín Colorado can perform long jumps with a red, yellow and black costume , which also has antennae and a yellow heart .

This character arrives a month after Humberto Ramos announced it in the Mexican comic convention La Conque , held in the state of Querétaro.
Humberto Ramos is one of Marvel Comic's main pencillers , where he worked for two years in “The Amazing Spiderman,” written by Dan Slott.
