Mexican airline Interjet announced that Mika, the 8-year-old mixed-breed female dog that the airline lost on Monday during a flight from Mexico City to Houston, was finally found.
The airline posted on Twitter that Mika is reunited with its owner Pamela Álvarez.
Yesterday, the hashtag #Interjetencuentraamika went viral after the airline traveler Pamela Álvarez reported Interjet lost her dog.
Álvarez, who lives in Houston, said the airline didn't inform her until she got to Houston that the dog escaped when the cage fell.
She and her husband returned to Mexico City to hunt for Mika.

Interjet said in a statement that they were looking for Mika and also launched a campaign dubbed #BuscandoMika (FindMika).
Details were not immediately available on where the dog was found but a post by Álvarez on Twitter thanks friends, family and Interjet for helping find Mika.
