Mexican victims of Paris attacks remembered

A year after the Paris attacks of November 13, 2015, the French capital remembers the one-hundred and thirty victims in Bataclan, France Stadium and four cafés with the unveiling of memorial plaques containing the names of each of the victims.

Michelli Gil Jaimez and Nohemí González Villanueva had their names inscribed in memorial plaques placed in the two cafés were the Mexican citizens were shot dead by jihadi extremists last year. Mexican ambassador to France, Juan Manuel Gómez Robledo, along with the family of Michelli Gil attended the unveiling which will be followed by a private mass in a Parisian church later today.

29-year-old Michelli Gil Jaimez, born in Tuxpan, Veracruz, was based in Paris, while 23-year-old Nohemí González Villanueva was based in California, U.S., and was completing an academic stay in the French capital at the time of the attacks.

The plaques were unveiled by the French president; Francois Hollande and Paris mayoress, Anne Hidalgo earlier today.
