A German tourist died on Thursday while climbing the Pyramid of the Sun at the Archeological Site of Teotihuacán, according to municipal police officers.
Paramedics rushed to the site on reports that a visitor wasn't feeling well, but upon arriving the man had already passed away as a result of severe hemorrhaging.
The paramedics report that the 74-year-old man, who went by the name of Seiler Eckhard, suffered from hypertension and, while climbing the over 215-foot-tall pyramid, began to bleed and collapsed.
The victim was with his wife at the time, who told paramedics what had happened.
