122 undocumented immigrants from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, including 45 minors, were rescued when traveling in overcrowded conditions aboard three trucks on the Tamaulipas highway.
Agents of the Federal Police of Tamaulipas Regional Security stopped the three vehicles on the highway and noticed the Central American immigrants, who also had symptoms of asphyxiation.
Police agents requested medical attention for the Central Americans and arrested the three men.
The detainees were made available to Assistant Attorney General's Office for Special Investigations on Organized Crime (Seido) for investigation and the 122 undocumented immigrants were sent to the National Migration Institute.
