Priest kidnapped and killed in Veracruz

A priest and an unidentified person were kidnapped and killed in Poza Rica, in the state of Veracruz.

According to the authorities, an armed group entered the church of Our Lady of Fatima in the municipality of Poza Rica and kidnapped three men, one of them the local priest.

A few hours later, the driver of the priest was found unharmed by agents of Civil Protection, who was taken to a hospital and subsequently brought to testify before the authorities.

This afternoon authorities confirmed that the two kidnapped men were found dead in an area located on the Papantla-Poza Rica road.
