Wife of Héctor Beltrán Leyva arrested

The National Commission on Security (CNS) confirmed the arrest of Clara Elena Laborín Archuleta, wife of Héctor Beltrán Leyva "El H", identified as the main cartel operator in Acapulco and Hermosillo.

At a press conference, head of investigations for federal police Omar Hamid García Harfuch said the wife of "El H" was one of the main sources of violence in Sonora and Guerrero, mainly in the area of ​​Acapulco.

At the time of her arrest, she was accompanied by Alán Contreras Sánchez, identified as her main collaborator.

"The arrest came as a result of several lines of investigations followed since a year ago by the Federal Police and the Attorney General's Office," García Harfuch said.
