Popocatépetl registers 23 volcano-tectonic earthquakes

In the last 24 hours, the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 23 volcano-tectonic earthquakes. The strongest was recorded yesterday at 4:59 pm with a magnitude of 2.4.
In addition, an exhalation train that lasted 98 minutes and 55 low-intensity exhalations accompanied by emissions of steam and gas were observed.

Two explosion were also registered yesterday at 11:34 am and 11:57 am. These explosions were followed by columns of ash.

Furthermore, 338 minutes of low-amplitude harmonic tremor were reported.
On August 30, it was confirmed that the explosions of August 27 and 28 destroyed the dome 69, built on August 1st.
