The ambassador of Mexico in the United States, Carlos Sada Solana, said that Mexicans feel "insulted" by the rhetoric employed in one of the main presidential campaigns in the country.
"When you are insulted there's a reaction and we Mexicans have been insulted," he said at an event organized by the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) during the Republican Party national convention.
The new presidential nominee of the GOP, Donald Trump has called Mexican immigrants all sorts of things, from rapists to drug dealers, and has threatened with the construction of a wall between Mexico and the United States, having the Mexican government covering all expenses.
Sada said that Mexico is one of the most important commercial partners of the U.S. and that alone generates six million jobs on the American side of the border.
