The Office of the Attorney General (PGR) re-apprehended the former governor of the state of Tabasco, Andrés Granier Melo, for his alleged involvement in a massive tax fraud.
According to the Agency for Criminal Investigations, Granier is involved in a fraud for US$12,115.
Granier is currently in a federal prison east of Mexico City, held for the crime of operations with illegally obtained funds for US$1.9 million.
But, the prison order from 2014 was revoked by a local tribunal in Tabasco, under the argument that the PGR did not present compelling evidence on the case.
Granier is also accused of tax evasion for US$116,428.
