After the end of the broadcasting contract with media giant Televisa, Chivas Guadalajara announced the official launch of its multimedia platform "Chivas TV".
"Welcome to a new era, welcome to Chivas TV! #ChivasLibre #UniónNacional," published the soccer team on social networks.
Owner Jorge Vergara is betting on a content generating organization which will be responsible for its distribution on pay-TV with the idea of generating more revenue that the yearly US$25 million paid by Televisa.
