Mayor of Jilotzingo killed in the State of Mexico

The Government of the State of Mexico confirmed the killing this morning of Juan Antonio Mayén Saucedo, mayor of the city of Jilotzingo.

Early reports indicate that he was shot while driving on a road in the municipality of Naucalpan.

The authorities also expressed that they are trying to determine the exact circumstances of his death, and the Commissioner of Citizen Security, Eduardo Valiente, is in the area.
