Human remains found in Puebla

Human remains were reportedly found inside steel barrels on the border between the municipalities of Domingo Arenas and San Andrés Calpan, according to the police.

The barrels were located in the area known as Yepaxotlán. Five of the steel containers, filled with acid and remains, were found inside a building.

Other barrel with human remains was found some 50 meters away from that place, and four more were located another 50 meters away.

The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Puebla confirmed the grim discovery and added that the remains were taken to the genetic labs of the Institute of Forensic Sciences to be analyzed.

The agency also pointed out that the bodies are related to an investigation into a shooting incident a week ago during a cockfight in the municipality of Cuautlancingo.
