Popocatépetl volcano registers small explosion

According to the report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 6 low-intensity exhalations in the last 24 hours.

Also, a small explosion and ash emissions were observed. Some incandescent fragments were thrown to a distance of about 400 m on the north face.

A continuous emission of steam and gas was also reported.
