At least six people died a three more were injured in a road accident in the Villahermosa-Frontera highway in Tabasco, when a passenger van crashed into a trailer truck.
According to the authorities, the trailer was traveling to Villahermosa, but invaded the other side of the road, crashing into the incoming van near Tamulté de las Sabanas.
Preliminary reports indicate that one of the injured passengers is a two-year-old toddler. The wounded were transferred to a hospital in the state capital.
The trailer caught fire after the impact and the fire squad arrived at the area along the Red Cross.
The incident blocked the road, causing vehicles to form in an unmovable line stretching more than two miles on both sides.
