Eleven killed in celebration in Guerrero

The governor of Guerrero, Héctor Astudillo Flores, reported the killing of at least 11 people during a party in the town of Cundancito, in the municipality of Coyuca de Catalán.

In an interview in the community of Paraíso, where he headed a state development forum, Astudillo Flores said that municipal, state and federal police officers were in the party when they were attacked.

"Yesterday we tried to reach the place at night and the crewmen on several patrol cars were received with bullets," he said.

In the morning, police and army officers were sent to investigate the incident, according to Astudillo Flores.
