Kate del Castillo resurfaces in Los Angeles

Kate del Castillo, embroiled in a controversy over her meeting with Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, leader of the Sinaloa cartel, resurfaced this weekend in Los Angeles.

TMZ posted a video of the Mexican actress accompanied by Jillian Barberie, KABC talk show host, when they were about to arrive at the Mexican restaurant El Coyote in Los Angeles.

The two women avoided the reporter's questions about "El Chapo". On Sunday, Jillian posted the following message on Twitter: "Beautiful night with @katedelcastillo When we left thru kitchen of El Coyote the staff started clapping for my friend. Such support and love."

Del Castillo is expected to testify about the case on Monday.
