When Air France's flight AF438 landed this afternoon in the Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City, it meant the veritable arrival of a flying monster, with 516 passengers, 17 hostesses and three pilots in its innards.
The plane, more than 261 feet long and 239 wide, will be making regular flights between Latin America and the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.
The Minister of Communications and Transportation, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, thanked media for the coverage of the event, via Twitter.
"I would like to thank the media who accompanied us and receive the Airbus 380," wrote Ruiz Esparza.
The airliner, which covered the distance between the two airports in 12 hours, has four decks, including a Premiére class with nine seats. There is also a wardrobe, a bar with buffet, and other amenities like the first art gallery installed in an aircraft, with exhibitions created for the French company in collaboration with the great museums of the world.
