Federal and State forces reported the arrest in Queretaro of Martín Navarro Escutia, "EL Cebollón", presumed leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel in the State of Mexico and who is facing arrest warrants for murder and terrorism, and is investigated for fuel theft.
The arrest of 40-year-old Navarro Escutia was confirmed to EL UNIVERSAL by sources who pointed out that it took place on Saturday in the city of Queretaro during an operation carried out by officers from the Ministry of Defense and the State Attorney General.
The Attorney General of Guanajuato added that the Department of Public Security of Guanajuato, the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR), the Federal Police and the National Investigation and Security Center also participated in the arrest (CISEN).
