Officers from the Office of the Attorney General (PGR) found other four bodies in the area of El Carrizalillo, in the municipality of Eduardo Neri, and the local sheriff, Nelson Figueroa, said that the local authorities will continue supporting the investigations started by the federal agency.
Figueroa added that with the four bodies found by PGR there are so far six sets of human remains found, after two skulls were found last Saturday in a grave in the area of Los Cazahuetes.
He pointed out that the locals will continue the search for more graves in the mountains, even while that task belongs to the forensic experts and doctors, as well as the police.
There are other areas yet to be explored after the confession of an alleged member of the Guerreros Unidos cartel, Modesto Celso Peňa, who was detained for more than 15 hours along nine federal police officers by the population of El Carrizaillo, after they supposedly tried to incriminate a local rural officer as a member of a drug cartel.
Last Saturday the people of El Carrizalillo found human remains near a road connecting the towns of Tenantla and Amatitlán, and on Tuesday they found two graves in El Pedregal and El Puerto.
On Wednesday, the forensic experts found a grave near the local secondary school.
"Four graves and six bodies have been found since last Saturday. We are waiting for their job to end to know about the DNA testing (on the bones)," expressed Figueroa.
