Mexican actress Salma Hayek, who is of Lebanese descent, is part of a video installation by Egyptian-born, New York-based artist Youssef Nabil.
The 49-year-old actress shared a 14-second video on her Facebook and Instagram accounts showing off her sensual belly dancing moves.
"I saved My Belly Dancer" is a poetic depiction of Youssef’s fascination with belly dancers, and his anxiety over the disappearance of the art form that is unique to the Middle East. The 12-minute video is visually inspired by the 50s golden age cinema of Egypt.
It will debut at Galerie Nathalie Obadia in Paris on November 6 and the exhibition runs until January 6, 2016.
