Popocatépetl volcano spews 124 exhalations

According to the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 124 low-intensity exhalations in the last 24 hours.

Twenty low-to-moderate intensity explosions were also reported yesterday at 18:48 h and today at 01:14, 02:00 and 03:30 h.

Incandescence over the crater of the volcano and 30 minutes of harmonic tremor of very low amplitude were also recorded.

No reports of ash fall so far.
