The Office of the Attorney General (PGR), the Federal Police and Interpol dismantled an international human trafficking network with operations in Mexico and the U.S.
The head of the Criminal Investigations Agency, Tomás Zerón de Lucio, reported that the investigations on the network, which was dedicated to provide victims for sexual exploitation, began in the U.S.
The eight detainees operated in the states of Tlaxcala, Puebla, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Mexico City, Querétaro, and Oaxaca, while having also operations in New York.
The network is formed by the members of four families who got their victims pregnant in order to push them into sexual slavery out of fear of reprisals against their children.
The detainees are required by a court in New York.
