Taxi driver Esteban Andrés Rodríguez Orozco, died in a hospital in the municipality of Naucalpan due to the burns sustained during the explosion of a tanker truck transporting butane gas in Tlalnepantla, last November 12.
With the death of the 61-year-old the number of people deceased after the explosion goes to four, including the driver of the truck, loaded with 40,000 liters of gas, which lighted the area at 4:00 a.m.
The head of the Health Department of the State of Mexico, César Gómez Monge, reported the death of the taxi driver, which follows those of 19-year-old Guadalupe Cossio Madrid and 21-year-old Andrés Ramírez Fuentes, in addition to the truck driver.
Other victims identified as 25-year-old Julio Romero Sanchez, 43-year-old Pedro Miros Torres, 37-year-old Martha Elena Molina Carmona, and 35-year-old Eduardo García García are reported as stable.
Gómez Monge reiterated that the state government will cover the expenses of the victims and provide legal support to their families in order to get them a compensation from the owners of the truck.
