Morelos 3 satellite concludes antennae deployment

The Morelos 3 satellite reached its orbit and deployed its solar panels, Ku and L-band antennae and thermic radiators, according to Mexico's Ministry of Communications and Transportation.

This is the first step towards testing it in orbit.

"It is expected that on December Boeing will provide Telecomunicaciones de México with the control and operation of the Morelos 3 satellite in order to have it, according to plans, starting to perform mobile telecom services next year," expressed the Ministry in a release.

Morelos 3 was launched on October 2 and will substitute the Centenario satellite, whose launch failed.
