Experts from the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico reported that a burger supposedly with the remains of a mouse really had meat from a rodent and now they must determine if this product was in fact processed by McDonald's.
The McDonald's restaurant where the hamburger was brought, in the center of the municipality of Tlalnepantla de Baz, has been closed for 10 days after a client presented to the authorities a burger with the protruding whiskers and ear of a mouse.
The authorities sent the burger to veterinary experts, who this week determined that it had meat from a mouse.
In an inspection of the restaurant, the health authorities also reportedly found flies and insects that "seemed to be cockroaches" in the place, as well as a general lack of cleaning.
